- 0 to BWP 48,000 / year: 0% (Tax-Free threshold)
- BWP 48,001 to 96,000: 5%
- BWP 96,001 to 144,000: 12.5%
- BWP 144,001 to 192,000: 18.75%
- Over BWP 192,000 / year: 25.0% (Top Marginal Rate)
Statutory Severance Benefit (*Indemnity*)
Under Section 27 of the Employment Act, employees not covered by a registered employer pension fund earn a statutory Severance Benefit equal to 1 day's basic pay per month of service for the first 60 months (5 years), and 2 days' pay per month thereafter, payable every 5 years or upon termination.
