Employment Regulations in Peru
Standard working hours are maximum 8 hours per day or 48 hours per week under the Labour Productivity Act. Standard probation is 3 months, extendable to 6 months for skilled staff and 12 months for management. Arbitrary dismissal without cause triggers mandatory severance compensation equal to 1.5 months' pay per year of service.
